For Apartment Buildings

Better internet for every apartment in the building.

Help your residents get faster, more reliable internet by upgrading the whole building to full fibre.

Why upgrade

Four reasons to consider full fibre.

Add value to every apartment

Up to 75% of renters say a full fibre connection makes a property more appealing — benefiting owners at sale or lease time.

Faster, more reliable internet

Residents gain access to wholesale speeds up to 2 Gbps — supporting working from home, streaming and multiple devices without lag.

Future-proof the building

Household internet usage has grown nearly 10x in the past decade and is expected to double again by 2032. Full fibre is built for what’s coming.

Lighter load for strata

One project, one upgrade, building-wide. After installation, FibreState manages the network infrastructure — not the body corporate.

What is full fibre?

Fastest internet, end-to-end.

Most older apartment buildings still rely on copper phone lines or a mix of fibre and copper to deliver internet. A full fibre upgrade replaces this with fibre cable running directly to every apartment — the same technology used in new builds. The result: faster speeds, fewer faults and a connection built to last.

The Upgrade Journey

Five stages, end-to-end.

From eligibility check to live connections — FibreState manages the whole process.

1

Eligibility check

Confirm your building qualifies. We assess location, infrastructure and building type.

2

Quote and agreement

We provide a clear quote and agreement for the body corporate to review and sign.

3

Site survey and plan

Our team visits the building and develops an installation plan tailored to your layout.

4

Installation

Fibre installed throughout the building. Each resident gets a short appointment for in-apartment equipment.

5

Ready to connect

Residents can choose any participating internet provider and order their service.

What this means for the building.

Owners & Strata

You’re improving the building, not just the internet.

Better internet supports property values, makes apartments more attractive to renters, and reduces the infrastructure burden on the body corporate. After the upgrade, FibreState manages the network — not you.

Residents

Faster, more reliable internet at home.

Once the upgrade is complete, residents can choose from a range of internet providers and connect at full fibre speeds — no copper, no contention from outdated tech, just modern fibre to the front door.

Common Questions

What strata managers usually ask.

Will my building qualify?
Most multi-dwelling buildings can be assessed. We look at building type, existing infrastructure, location and access. The first step is a free eligibility check — we’ll come back to you with a clear answer.
How disruptive is the installation?
Common-area installation is typically completed within a few weeks depending on building size. Each resident’s individual appointment usually takes under an hour and is scheduled at a time that suits them.
Who decides — the body corporate or individual owners?
The decision is made by the body corporate or owners committee on behalf of all owners. Individual residents don’t need to sign up separately for the upgrade itself.
What happens to residents’ existing services?
Residents on existing internet plans continue uninterrupted until they choose to switch to a full fibre service through their preferred provider.
